If today, you were to stand where the photographer stood to take this shot, you would see a very similar scene (of course the dress/clothes would have changed). The buildings that house the shops on the left are still there, the Grapes Hotel is still there, though now has another name and of course, the Town Hall remains. I can't decide if it had been snowing, or it is just the tinting of the postcard, which makes the ground appear white.
