Billinge End Road viewed from Revidge Road

In this 1930's view, the photographer would have been standing at the foot of Revidge Road, looking into Billinge End Road (as the text on the postcard tells us). No traffic lights back then, just a policeman to guide the passing traffic. In fact, there is still the small police building (approximately where the lamp post is, in this view) standing today, though no longer used. I think the large property on the right, is also still there.
