Corporation Park - Fountain & Entrance c1905

Two more images of Corporation Park. The top one is of the fountain, which is just inside the main entrance gates and the lower one is of the entrance gates. That little white pony sure liked getting in the picture. It's also on one of the pictures of the Cotton Exchange. Maybe it belonged to the photographer, he would have to get his gear around somehow.

  1. If you enlarge the top print Colin, it looks like the Bloke in front of the fountain is getting "Wet through" from it, and just to the right of him there appears to be a Policeman getting his notebook out in readiness to book the horse and cart for loitering with intent !

  2. When that fountain is at full pelt (they've had it working in recent years), you can get soaked by it just walking up East Park Rd, when the breeze blows it that way.
