    Interesting how the railway stationwas called Wilpshire & Ribchester when it's nowhere near Ribchester.

    If they had the current name, at least they'd only have been out by about half a mile instead of about three!

    It says Wilpshire FOR Ribchester Phil. Folks back then didn't mind a walk;-)

    Is it called Wilpshire & Ramsgreave now?

    Oh yeah.

    It's called Ramsgreave & Wilpshire which figures as it's nearer to Ramsgreave than Wilpshire these days.
