The Lost Pubs of Blackburn ( Parts 1 & 2 )

Yet another slide show.

I know that many of these pubs are still with us.  But whether open, closed or lost forever, they're still a part of Blackburn's past. So I make no apologies for including them here.

The majority of the images are courtesy of John Cox (though there's a couple from myself, a couple off Cottontown, one from A. Holding and one from P. Simpson).

Just click on either of the links below. If the Youtube one doesn't work in your country, then the Daily Motion one probably will.

  1. I am trying to obtain digital copies of the 2 photographs of Higher Eanam posted on the blackburnpast site, especially the one of the Globe Hotel which was bought by my wife's grandfather, John James Wych in 1932. Can anyone tell me where I can get these please ?

  2. Go onto Facebook Stuart and search any of the Blackburn local history groups on there and you should be able to find what you're looking for. I think you mean the John Eddleston photos from 1963 and like I say, they've been on the majority of the Facebook groups over the last 5 years or so.
